John Serrano, Esquire
A graduate of Yale University and
the University of Connecticut School of Law, Attorney John
Serrano is the senior partner of our firm.
For two decades, thousands of
injured and disabled clients have turned to Attorney Serrano for
help in recovering payments for personal injuries suffered in automobile and
motorcycle collisions, fall downs,
and work
accidents, and in obtaining Social Security Disability benefits to
provide for themselves and their families when illness, disease
or injury have left them unable to work.
Drawing on his wide ranging legal
experience and his skills as a litigator, negotiator and
counselor, Attorney Serrano has helped many clients overcome
difficult situations, whether due to divorce, criminal prosecution or financial misfortune.
Attorney Serrano has tried civil and
criminal cases in Connecticut Superior Court and U.S. District
Court. He has successfully handled cases before the
Connecticut Supreme and Appellate Courts.
Besides his
experience in the areas of personal injury, workers
compensation, Social Security, divorce and criminal law,
Attorney Serrano has successfully handled matters involving immigration, real estate and business transactions,
wills and trusts, probate, computer law, commercial
litigation, evictions, bankruptcy, franchise law, labor law, products liability and
zoning.
Born in Portugal, Attorney Serrano
immigrated to the United States by ocean liner in 1960 and grew
up in Hartford, graduating from Hartford Public High School in
1973. He speaks Portuguese and Spanish. He was a founding member and
the first president of the Portuguese Foundation of Connecticut.
